This image of nasal cilia was taken at 50,000x with the XR50S-A, 5 megapixel, camera system. As is typical with many ciliary biopsies, adequate selection and fixation methods are key components in gaining information of diagnostic quality. In this case, although presented in cross-section, the typical 9+2 arrangement can be deciphered. In many cilia, the inner dynein arms are missing or insignificant.
The XR50S-A camera system featured in the classic wide-angle Side-Mount position, uses a custom designed, high performance lens, producing extraordinary speed and high resolution, at a very affordable price. Contact AMT today.
